Meditation/Hatha Yoga session organized by SHIFT resident Gisela Insuaste (2011-2012) with Yoga for Bliss director and founder Neem Dewji. Take a break from your busy day with a little rejuvenation yoga and meditation. Please bring a yoga mat and wear comfortable clothing. Class held indoors. Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org if you wish to participate in this event.
Gisela Insuaste's (2011-2012) sculptural installation, "el jardín" refers to the idea of a garden as a collection of physical and emotional spaces constructed from memories of people, places and things in our landscape, both real and imagined. Insuaste, Manager of Art, Nature, and Wellness at Wave Hill, invited a yoga/meditation instructor, who works in various parks and cultural spaces in NY, to share her knowledge and practice to a new audience.
Neem Dewji teaches Hatha Yoga at Wave Hill, Society for Ethical Culture and other locations in Riverdale and Yonkers. She has been teaching Hatha Yoga for 14 years and is certified with The Yoga for Health Foundation in England and The Integral Yoga Institute in New York City. She teaches Level 1, mixed ability, gentle, chair yoga, and meditation. www.yogaforbliss.net
