OPEN CALL 2024
Projects Proposals

EFA Project Space 2024 Projects Open Call is now accepting applications!
We are accepting project proposals that are based on group gatherings and offer a bi-weekly thematic structure for its participants. EFA Project Space will provide a space for facilitators to activate the venue and will allow continuous gatherings in it throughout a three month period in 2024. Projects can include thematic conversations, poetry readings, music, movement and dance exercises, activism, and various workshops. Projects should compliment Project Space’s mission and present an appropriate use of time and space. Please see more information in the tabs below.

Focus: "Folklore"

For the 2024 Open Call theme, EFA Project Space is interested in exploring the notion of “Folklore” in its various forms and aspects. We are looking for projects, community engagements, and public programming that celebrate personal narratives, memories, traditions, and ceremonies. We are interested in stories and experiences that vitalize roots and origins, in works and actions that are not filtered through a globalized lens, and that touch on raw materiality.

  • EFA Project Space is a collaborative, cross-disciplinary arts venue founded on the belief that art is directly connected to the individuals who produce it and the communities that arise because of it. By providing an arena for exploring these connections, we empower artists, curators, and other participants to forge new partnerships and encourage the expansion of ideas. It is a home for emerging, mid-career, as well as established curators and artists. We focus our attention on community engagement and public programming.

We strongly encourage applications that consider the following items:
