Nesting is a sanctuary and mutual aid resource center. The space will provide practical resources and a warm refuge for arriving migrants. There will be visual arts, workshops, and music events. Built on decentralized and holistic principles, all participants have agency regardless of their current circumstances. 

Nesting, anidaciones, es un santuario y un centro de recursos de ayuda mutua. El espacio proporcionará recursos prácticos y un cálido refugio para los migrantes que llegan. Habrá eventos de artes visuales, talleres y música. Basado en principios descentralizados y holísticos, todos los participantes tienen agencia independientemente de sus circunstancias actuales.

Please join us for a 1-hour Yoga & Meditation class with Sofía Reeser del Rio. This class does not require any experience. Yoga is an exercise for the body and mind connecting through  breathing, relaxation and postures. Please bring a large towel or yoga mat.   

Únase a esta clase de yoga y meditación de 1 hora con la maestra Sofía. Reeser del Río. Esta clase no requiere ninguna experiencia. El yoga es un ejercicio para conectar el cuerpo y la mente a través de la respiración, la relajación y las posturas. Por favor traiga una toalla grande o una estera de yoga.

An evening of art talks and sharing food. As part of Nesting, artists and community members will share and speak on their projects and art making. 

El Salón is a gathering to share ideas, food, conversation, and acknowledgement of presence. This assembly travels and collaborates with various spaces to host forums on contemporary art and cultural topics. Most of the time as a nutritious and soulful potluck. #elsalónpotluck

Una tarde de charlas de arte y de compartir comida. Como parte de la exposición Nesting, los artistas y miembros de la comunidad compartirán y hablarán sobre sus proyectos y creaciones artísticas.

El Salón es un encuentro para compartir ideas, comida, conversación y reconocimiento nuestra presencia. Esta asamblea viaja y colabora con varios espacios para albergar foros sobre arte contemporáneo y temas culturales. La mayoría de las veces con una comida compartida nutritiva y conmovedora.


PlayCo’s Month of Rest: Healing Sound Bath

Bring yourself, warm clothing, and a yoga mat. The sound bath will be an hour long meditation. Sam Xu and Daniel Givens will lead us in a workshop utilizing gongs tuned at a series of vibration frequencies that resonate with the moon and other planets in our solar system. This event will be in person. Masks and up-to-date vaccination required.

Tráete ropa de abrigo y una esterilla de yoga. El baño de sonido será una meditación de una hora de duración. Sam Xu y Daniel Givens nos guiarán en un taller utilizando gongs afinados en una serie de frecuencias de vibración que resuenan con la luna y otros planetas de nuestro sistema solar. Este evento será presencial. Se requieren máscaras y vacunación actualizada.

La comunidad LGBTQ+ de habla rusa de Nueva York y la artista Alena Lipa se alegran de invitarte a una noche de música, actuaciones y juegos.
